GCK Low-Voltage Withdrawable Switchgear

GCK low-voltage withdrawable switchgear combines power distribution and motor control in drawer-type functional units. Designed for industrial power centres and motor control centres, it groups feeder and motor-starter circuits within a common assembly. Individual units can be withdrawn for inspection or replacement in accordance with the equipment's operating procedures.

The documented configuration serves AC 400/660 V systems, with horizontal busbars up to 5,000 A and 50 or 80 kA short-time withstand ratings for 1 second. IP30 and IP40 enclosures are available. Incoming circuits, feeders, protection and controls follow the project single-line diagram.

Installation & Aftercare

Prepare the site, plan routine checks and keep service records.

What needs to be ready before installation?

  • Catalogue normal conditions: indoor ambient -5 to +40 °C, 24-hour average at most +35 °C, altitude at most 2000 m.
  • Provide a level base, front drawer-handling space and cable routes that remain accessible after the lineup is connected.
  • At +40 °C, catalogue relative humidity is limited to 50%; control condensation and exclude conductive dust or corrosive gases.

What should operators check during routine rounds?

  • Review feeder loading and trip indications during rounds; look for blocked ventilation, condensation and abnormal operating noise.

What is covered during planned maintenance?

  • At planned isolation, qualified personnel inspect drawer power contacts, secondary plugs, interlocks and cable terminations for wear or overheating.
  • After a fault or stiff drawer operation, inspect the affected unit before reuse; use the specified contact-care products and procedure.
