MNS Low-Voltage Withdrawable Switchgear

MNS low-voltage withdrawable switchgear uses a modular design for power distribution, motor control and reactive-power compensation. Standardised functional units accommodate different feeder and control duties within one cabinet lineup, while mechanical interlocks guide the prescribed operating sequence of the withdrawable units.

The series serves AC 400/660 V systems, with horizontal busbar ratings up to 5,000 A and short-time withstand options of 50, 65 or 80 kA for 1 second. IP30 and IP40 enclosures are available, with the unit mix, control interfaces and cable access configured around the circuit schedule and switchroom layout.

Key Features

  • Modular withdrawable functional units.
  • Mechanical interlocks on the withdrawable units.
  • For power distribution, motor control and reactive-power compensation.
  • Standardised components support project-specific configurations.

Typical Applications

  • Factories and mining sites
  • Airports and docks
  • Hotels and broadcasting centres

Installation & Aftercare

Prepare the site, plan routine checks and keep service records.

What needs to be ready before installation?

  • Lay out the room around the actual section arrangement, with access for module withdrawal and removal of large components.
  • Match cable entry, busbar connections and earthing to the approved assembly drawings; keep operating aisles free of permanent obstructions.
  • Control dust and condensation, and provide ventilation that accounts for heat from both busbars and installed devices.

What should operators check during routine rounds?

  • Observe load indications, alarms and ventilation condition during rounds, and keep the module-to-circuit schedule current.

What is covered during planned maintenance?

  • At planned isolation, inspect withdrawable contacts, connectors and interlocks; look for damaged plating, deformation and signs of excessive heat.
  • Use replacement modules matched to the installed interfaces and circuit settings; service contacts and mechanisms with the specified materials.
