GCS Low-Voltage Withdrawable Switchgear

GCS low-voltage withdrawable switchgear provides power distribution and centralised motor control for industrial and infrastructure projects. Its drawer-type units bring feeder and control circuits together in a compact assembly, allowing the cabinet lineup to accommodate the circuit mix required by the installation.

Designed for AC 400/660 V systems, the series offers current ratings up to 5,000 A and IP30 or IP40 enclosure options. Withdrawable-unit functions, control interfaces and cable access are configured to suit the electrical design and available switchroom space, with short-circuit ratings selected for the network fault level.

Installation & Aftercare

Prepare the site, plan routine checks and keep service records.

What needs to be ready before installation?

  • Install in an indoor electrical room with a level foundation and working space for full drawer travel.
  • Coordinate top or bottom cable entry with the supplied lineup drawings; leave room for cable bends and outgoing terminations.
  • Provide room ventilation for the actual losses and control condensation around cable trenches and lightly loaded sections.

What should operators check during routine rounds?

  • Record section loading, overload trips and abnormal temperature indications, particularly where several motors operate together.

What is covered during planned maintenance?

  • During isolated servicing, inspect drawer contacts, secondary connections, interlocks and motor-control devices for wear, contamination or heat damage.
  • Clean ventilation openings and check fitted cooling devices; review protection settings whenever a motor or feeder duty changes.
