GGD Fixed-Type Low-Voltage Switchgear

GGD Fixed-Type Low-Voltage Switchgear

GGD fixed-type low-voltage switchgear distributes and controls power in industrial and commercial facilities. Its cabinet arrangement accommodates incoming supplies, outgoing feeders, lighting and motor-control circuits, providing a practical platform for installations that use fixed switching and protection equipment.

The series is designed for AC 380 V systems, with rated currents up to 3,150 A and short-circuit breaking ratings up to 50 kA. Cabinets form a lineup matched to the load schedule, with devices, busbars and cable entry specified for the distribution scheme.

Installation & Aftercare

Prepare the site, plan routine checks and keep service records.

What needs to be ready before installation?

  • Install on a level indoor base with access to breakers and cable terminations, following the supplied front and rear access arrangement.
  • Reserve cable bending space and a removal route for the largest fixed device; include the enclosure in the earthing system.
  • Ventilate the switchroom and prevent water, conductive dust or condensation from reaching busbars and insulation.

What should operators check during routine rounds?

  • During rounds, review current readings and trip indications, and note abnormal noise, smell or external heating.

What is covered during planned maintenance?

  • At scheduled isolation, inspect terminals, busbar joints and insulation; qualified personnel clean dust and check device operation.
  • Investigate repeated trips and discoloured or damaged connections, and review protective-device settings after circuit alterations.
