Outdoor High-Voltage Metering and Prepayment Assembly

Outdoor High-Voltage Metering and Prepayment Assembly

This outdoor prepayment assembly combines a high-voltage CT/PT metering unit with a ZW32F boundary switch. It provides energy measurement and feeder protection in a floor-mounted enclosure, with segregated high-voltage and metering compartments.

Zero-sequence, overcurrent and instantaneous protection are combined with FTU control; GPRS remote operation is an option. The published environment is −40 °C to +40 °C, altitude up to 3,000 m and pollution level IV. Rated voltage, CT/PT ratios and protection settings are confirmed for the utility connection.

Key Features

  • High-voltage CT/PT metering with a ZW32F boundary switch.
  • Segregated metering and high-voltage compartments.
  • Zero-sequence, overcurrent and instantaneous protection.
  • FTU control with optional GPRS remote operation.

Typical Applications

  • Industrial customer supply metering
  • Residential-area supply metering
  • Metering and protection beside compact substations

Installation & Aftercare

Prepare the site, plan routine checks and keep service records.

What needs to be ready before installation?

  • Agree the high-voltage connection, CT/PT ratios, utility metering requirements and protection settings before fixing the layout.
  • Provide a stable mounting position with accessible meter reading and authorised service access, protected from vehicle impact and standing water.
  • Select cable glands, enclosure protection and earthing for the actual location; retain the meter’s specified operating environment.

What should operators check during routine rounds?

  • Check the display, communication or prepayment alarms and enclosure seals; report damaged utility seals through the authorised metering process.

What is covered during planned maintenance?

  • At planned isolation, authorised personnel inspect wiring and terminals for looseness, corrosion, heat damage or moisture.
  • Keep meter identification and service records current; calibration and billing-related changes follow the responsible utility or meter provider’s requirements.
